DaimlerChrysler AG Reports 3 Percent Decrease in U.S. Sales for Passenger Vehicles for November 2005

- Chrysler Group Reports Sales of 159,898 Vehicles, a 3 Percent Decrease Unadjusted (7 Percent Decrease Adjusted) for November 2005

- Mercedes-Benz USA Reports Sales of 18,284 Vehicles, a 3 Percent Decrease Unadjusted for November 2005

NEW YORK, Dec. 1 -- DaimlerChrysler AG , the third largest U.S. auto maker, today reported total group sales of 178,182 passenger vehicles in the U.S. for November 2005, a 3 percent decrease compared to November 2004. All sales figures in this release are on an unadjusted basis unless otherwise noted.

Chrysler Group, which consists of the Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge brands, posted sales of 159,898 vehicles in the U.S., a decrease of 3 percent. Adjusted for one more selling day in November 2005 compared to November 2004, sales fell 7 percent.

After launching a record nine new models in 2004, the Chrysler Group continues to launch new vehicles at a brisk pace during 2005, including the all-new 2006 Jeep Commander, Dodge Ram Mega Cab and Jeep Liberty CRD. The company is currently shipping to dealers the all-new 2006 Jeep Commander, which has received enthusiastic feedback from the media and continues to sell well in the marketplace.

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) posted sales of 18,284 units, down 3 percent compared to the same month last year. Mercedes-Benz offers the widest product portfolio in the luxury vehicle market, and the company expects to set another record year.

Detailed vehicle sales information for MBUSA and Chrysler Group will be announced later today in separate press releases issued by the groups. November 2005 had 25 selling days while November 2004 had 24 selling days.
