Advance Auto Parts Announces Nicholas F. Taubman Relinquishes Seat on Board of Directors

ROANOKE, Va.--Nov. 2, 20053, 2005--Advance Auto Parts, Inc. , a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, batteries, accessories, and maintenance items, announced today that Nicholas F. Taubman has resigned from the company's Board of Directors in connection with his recent appointment as U.S. ambassador to Romania.
