AutoNetTV to Provide Customers News and Entertainment in Waiting Rooms

BI Will Install Network and Manage Content Delivery to Auto Service Centers Nationwide

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 16 -- Broadcast International (BULLETIN BOARD: BCST) ("BI") announced today an agreement with AutoNet Broadcasting, LLC (AutoNetTV), based in American Fork, Utah to provide the network appliances/displays, installation, maintenance, network management, and content delivery to waiting rooms in automotive service centers throughout North America.

The initial launch will include about 400 locations nationwide and, based upon the success of a number of pilot deployments in major chains, several thousand additional locations are expected to follow. In addition to delivering customer programming, the network will also enable after-hours training of service center personnel on the "Pro Channel."

"After a thorough search and comprehensive due diligence, we concluded that BI offers the expertise, coverage, speed, and quality of service that will be critical in making this innovative network successful. We were delighted to find one company that can cost-effectively provide all the services we need," said Sean Whiffen, Co-Founder of AutoNetTV.

"We are excited about working with AutoNetTV", said Rod Tiede, President & CEO of Broadcast International. "Their custom produced programming is first class and we are convinced it will not only attract consumer attention, but many more participating service centers, as well. We believe the AutoNetTV management team has put together a business model that will both enhance the customer's waiting experience and improve the service center's bottom line."

AutoNetTV has also expressed interest in taking advantage of CodecSys, BI's patented multi-codec operating system, to add future efficiencies that will enhance video quality and reduce the bandwidth needed for content delivery.
