System Receives 500 Digital Channels While Moving

LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER Audiovox-Jensen-Code Systems Booth 11008

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1 -- Audiovox Corporation reported today that shipments of its first satellite TV Antenna system, named SkyBox have begun. With it, customers can add live TV to their mobile video experience as the system is designed to receive Dish Network and all other direct-to-home DBS providers in the U.S. as well as ExpressVU in Canada.

Tom Malone, Senior VP Sales stated, "As the recognized leader in mobile video, Audiovox's focus is to continue to bring innovative products that enhance mobile video entertainment. The ability to provide satellite TV to a moving vehicle has eluded manufacturers for a long time but not any longer. The company's Satellite TV Antenna features a secure mounting structure that has been designed to fit most RVs, SUVs and minivans and the system has been tested for virtually all road conditions.... just like every other Audiovox mobile video product; it is built for the road."

Its ultra-low profile antenna design is only 5.7-inches high. The system features sophisticated satellite searching, recognition and tracking capability that is fully automated and GPS-based. Malone observes, "We believe satellite TV will be a big draw for the high-end SUV owner, allowing them to bring the mobile video experience to the next level. Once again, Audiovox is bringing our dealer partners a product that not only features the latest technology but also gives them a competitive advantage. Dealers should see it increase their sales and profits dramatically."
