Pomona, Calif. (November 1, 2005) ­

 
* This will be the last race of the 2005 NHRA Drag Racing Series season, and
Q Racing Nitro Funny Car driver Tony Pedregon heads to Pomona to compete in
the 41st annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Nationals. The
2003 Funny Car champion is focused and ready for the second race of the year
at Pomona Raceway. 
 
> The California native started the season strong at this track with a No.1
> qualifier and broke Pomona¹s elapsed time record with a 4.681-second pass at
> 323.35 mph.

> ³We always look forward to going to Pomona,² Tony Pedregon said. ³We always
> run very well there as well. We have the track record, but it really depends
> upon weather conditions.²
 
* Ésta es la última carrera de la temporada de la NHRA Drag Racing Series
del 2005. Tony Pedregon, el piloto de Q Racing, se dirige a Pomona para
competir en el 41avo campeonato anual de los Automobile Club of Southern

* Pomona Raceway is a track Pedregon has had consistent success on. Besides
the 2005 achievements, he won in 1997, 1999 and 2003, runner up in 1996,
2000 and 2003 ­the year he also grabbed the No.1 qualifying position.

> ³It¹s a great track with a great tradition,² Pedregon said. ³Anytime there¹s a
> fast track with good conditions, this car performs. We want to qualify well
> and we¹ll be very competitive in this race.

> ³This year¹s goal was to achieve consistency, and I believe we have
> accomplished it. Now that we have paired up continuity, performance and the
> bulletproof Q Racing oil, we have a car that is running strong.²

* Pomona Raceway es un circuito en el que Pedregon siempre ha tenido éxito.

* Tony Pedregon will tackle Pomona Raceway after getting a victory in
Reading, Pa., and tying Cruz for the second best elapsed time in the Funny
Car category (4.680 seconds). In Chandler, Ariz., Pedregon broke Firebird
International Raceway¹s elapsed time record at 4.703 seconds and grabbed the
No.1 qualifier. 

> And at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., Pedregon wrapped up a third No. 1
> qualifier setting a new track elapsed-time record at 4.759 seconds. Pedregon
> heads to Pomona Raceway 9th in POWERade Funny Car points with 1123.
 
* Tony Pedregon se enfrentará al Pomona Raceway después de conseguir un
victoria en Reading, Pa., y empatar con su hermano Cruz para el segundo
