In recognition of Indian Heritage month, GEICO's Indian Heritage Committee has invited two special guests, Dr. Natwar M. Gandhi, chief financial officer for the District of Columbia, and Sanju Bansal, executive vice president and chief operating officer for MircroStrategy, to speak at a special Festival of Lights celebration. The event, known as Diwali, is being held for associates on Wednesday, Nov. 2 throughout lunch.

GEICO's menu will feature Indian thali, or "Indian platter," and other refreshments, including cake, punch and kheer (Indian rice pudding).

Diwali, a continuous five day celebration that is accompanied by fireworks and the exchange of sweets, is the most important festival in India as it signifies the renewal of life and heralds the approach of winter.
