Edward Carpenter Named Vice President, Asia Pacific for TRW Automotive

LIVONIA, Mich., Oct. 28, 2005 -- TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. today announced that Edward L. Carpenter has been named vice president, Asia Pacific for TRW Automotive's operations across the region.

   

Carpenter will be based at TRW's Asia Pacific headquarters in Shanghai, China and oversee the operations of more than 25 plants in the region. He will direct the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans and enhance strategic relationships with customers and joint venture partners in the region.

Carpenter most recently served as vice president of purchasing for the global TRW Automotive business, and has held various Company assignments in operations, program management and purchasing in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Carpenter will report to executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer Steve Lunn, who said, "Ed has a wealth of experience within TRW across multiple operations and functions, and has led global organizations, including joint ventures. He has the experience and leadership capabilities required to lead our Asia Pacific team in achieving the profitable growth targets we have set for the region."
