GILBERT, Ariz.--Oct. 2, 20057, 2005--Catalytica Energy Systems, Inc. , announced today that it will report third quarter financial results after the market closes on Thursday, November 10, 2005.

In connection with this announcement, members of the public are invited to listen to the Company's live quarterly conference call on the Internet at 1:45 p.m. Pacific Time, 4:45 p.m. ET the same day.
