NHRA BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS AT SEMA SHOW IN LAS VEGAS



WHO:  Bob Glidden, Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, and Warren Johnson

 

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005

 

TIME: 7:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: SEMA Show, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas

 

WHAT: Glidden, Jenkins and Johnson will discuss the last 35 years of
NHRA Pro Stock racing. They will be joined by Fred Simmonds, GM group
manager for drag racing, and NHRA announcer Bob Frey. 

 

About Glidden: As a driver Glidden raced to 10 NHRA world championship
titles and earned 85 career victories. Today, he serves as crew chief
for the Dodge Stratus' driven by Jeg Coughlin and Richie Stevens for Don
Schumacher Racing.

 

About Jenkins: Jenkins is one of the pioneers of NHRA Pro Stock racing
and winner of the inaugural Pro Stock race at the 1970 Winternationals
in Pomona, Calif. He earned 13 national event victories during his
career as a driver and continues today as an engine builder for Dave
Connolly.

 

About Johnson: The six-time world champion is the most prolific winner
in NHRA Pro Stock history with 95 victories.
