SHENANDOAH FINALE RAINED OUT

INDIANAPOLIS – USAC and Shenandoah (Va.) Speedway track officials are
looking to reschedule Saturday’s Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus Midget Car
Series race after inclement weather cancelled the day’s festivities.

Series officials are hopeful in rescheduling the event, in which twin
25-lappers would be used to finalize the 2005 series championship. The
series last raced Sept. 10 at the 3/8-mile paved track.

Series point leader Chase Scott leads runner-up Robbie Ray by 59 points. If
the race is not rescheduled, it will be the second straight
Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus title for Scott, who is tied for the most
victories in Ford Focus Midget competition since USAC began sanctioning that
type of racing in 2002.
