Cruz Pedregon Starts Off In Eighth
The Advance Auto Parts Nitro Funny Car Strong

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 21, 2005) ­ Cruz Pedregon and the Advance Auto Parts Nitro
Funny Car started this weekendıs ACDelco NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway in the eighth position.

Pedregon, who logged a 4.809-second elapsed time at 323.50 mph during
todayıs first session, was very optimistic.

³We made two solid runs today,² said Pedregon, the 1992 POWERade Funny Car
World Champion. ³We dropped a cylinder early in that second run or we would
have even been quicker.

³This car is really starting to come around,² Pedregon continued. ³Weıre
very close to Tonyıs (Pedregon) car right now, which is starting to pay off
on track as well.²
