Thrifty Car Rental Introduces GPS Navigation; Garmin(R) StreetPilot(R) Technology Offers Customers Detailed Driving Directions

TULSA, Okla., Oct. 18, 2005 -- Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. , today announced it would begin offering GPS-enabled (Global Positioning System) navigation via an optimized Garmin StreetPilot c330 at 138 popular locations in the U.S. and Canada effective October 18, 2005.

The StreetPilot c330 features an easy to use color touchscreen with detailed street data including nearly six million points of interest, including hotels, restaurants, ATMs, gas stations, and tourist attractions. With turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions and the ability to choose between a three-dimensional or bird's eye view, getting to a destination is easy. Optimized for Thrifty Car Rental, the c330 can route drivers to their specific vehicle's rental return facility with a minimum of keystrokes.

StreetPilot features the ability to display text directions in 17 different languages and spoken directions in 11, including English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
