GM’s Partnerships with Isuzu, Suzuki Remain Strong

Washingto DC October 18, 2005; Isuzu and Suzuki’s partnerships with General Motors remain sturdy despite GM’s recent decision to part ways with Subaru carmaker Fuji Heavy Industries, reports AP. GM’s VP of research and development Larry Burns attributed its continued relationship with the two Japanese auto makers as a way to continue to share technology and sell cars in Japan. Burns added specific praise for Isuzu and its importance in diesel technology, and Suzuki for its ongoing partnership with GM on fuel-cell technology development.
