China Long March Classic Car Rally 2006 - 24th September - 22nd October 2006

Beijing, October 18th, 2005; On September 24th 2006 the most 
ambitious classic car rally event of the year will be flagged off from 
Rui Jin in Southern China's Jiangxi province.

The first ever China Long March Classic Car Rally 2006 will feature 100 
classic and vintage cars, a convoy of 150 motor-homes and support 
vehicles, a star-rated mobile restaurant and even a mobile laundry!

Originally conceived by Beijing based Hua De Feng Ying Company Ltd., the 
Long March 2006 commemorates one of the most significant military 
campaigns in recent Chinese history.

Retracing the route of the famous Long March undertaken by Chinese Red 
Army troops between 1934 and 1936, the rally will conclude in Beijing on 
October 22^nd , the 70^th anniversary of the 7,000 kilometer trek.

Participants in this exciting four-week event will pass through some of 
the most beautiful countryside in the world, crossing mountain ranges 
and deserts. Throughout the trip, each driving team will be accommodated 
in top of the line motor-homes, enjoy fine cuisine from a first rate 
caterer, and be cared for every kilometer of the way by marshals and 
support staff on the latest BMW motorcycles and their famous forerunner, 
the classic CJ750 Motorcycle Sidecar Combination.

This is a five star rally for top drivers and their vehicles. Organized 
by a multi-national team based in Beijing and Hong Kong, every care has 
gone into making this historic event as trouble free and enjoyable as 
possible for the drivers.
