Time Change for Governor Pataki's Visit to Orion Plant Which Will Mark the State's Part in Providing Cleaner Buses to New York City

ORISKANY, N.Y., Oct. 18, 2005 -- Governor George E. Pataki will drive a diesel/electric-hybrid bus, destined for New York City, off the assembly line at the Orion Bus Industries factory here today in celebration of keeping production of these environmentally friendly buses in the state. The governor will meet the workers and tour the facility, which will soon begin producing these buses as part of a new 500-unit Metropolitan Transit Authority/New York City Transit order.

The work of the governor and the Empire State Development agency provided support for maintaining the factory's presence in New York.
