            huge vehicle fire problem in the United States and request
            the public's awareness and assistance.

Who:        AAA - the nation's largest organization for motorists
            National Fire Protection Association - the authority on   
            fire, electrical and building safety
            Local Fire Fighters - Hialeah, Florida Fire Department's  
            first responders

Why:        More than a quarter million vehicle fires are occurring
            annually in the United States with hundreds of associated 
            deaths and more than a thousand injuries. Most are caused 
            by mechanical or electrical component failure that could 
            have been prevented.
