Q Racing Expects Quick Conditions This Weekend

ENNIS, Texas (October 7, 2005) Tony Pedregon placed the Q Racing Nitro
Funny Car into the fourth spot, setting up a competitive second day of
qualifying for this weekendıs OıReilly NHRA Falls Nationals at the Texas
Motorplex.

Pedregon clicked off a 4.711-second elapsed time at 326.71 mph during
tonightıs first session. Todayıs cool conditions played into the 2003 NHRA
championıs strengths.

³We had a good first run today,² Pedregon said. ³The Q car showed what itıs
capable of doing, so we tried to push it a little further during the second
pass. The Q car was on track for another 4.70 pass, but it fell off half way
through. We were a little too aggressive for the lane conditions.

³But sometimes it is necessary to test the car to know where the limit is,²
Pedregon continued. ³Now we know how far we can go and tomorrow, depending
on the weather and track conditions, we may let the Q Racing Nitro Funny Car
unleash the power and go for the top stop.²
