CSK Auto Appoints New General Counsel

PHOENIX--Oct. 5, 2005--CSK Auto Corporation , parent company of CSK Auto, Inc., one of the largest automotive parts and accessories retailers in the United States, announced the appointment of Ms. Randi Morrison as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Ms. Morrison reports to the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer, Martin Fraser.

"Randi is an accomplished attorney and has been critical to the management team at CSK," said Martin Fraser. "We see her new role of General Counsel as a positive move which will support the Company's focus on achievement of its key goals and initiatives."

Ms. Morrison, who joined CSK's Legal Department in March 1997 as one of the Company's real estate lawyers, most recently served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel & Secretary where her practice focused primarily on corporate governance, finance, and securities, with particular emphasis on regulatory and compliance matters. She is a member of both the Arizona and District of Columbia Bars and has served as in-house counsel for publicly traded companies in various capacities since January 1990.
