LaserCraft Announces Installation of Red Light Automated Enforcement System in Pensacola, FL

NORCROSS, Ga., Oct. 3, 2005 -- LaserCraft, Inc., a leading provider of Automated Traffic Enforcement Systems, is pleased to announce the installation and operation of red light camera equipment in Pensacola, FL. The Red Light Camera System is installed at the intersection of 12th and Summit. In the first week of operation, the system captured an average of 42 violations a day in one direction.

The City of Pensacola Police Department will gather statistics and consider issuing warnings for violations occurring at the intersection. This system represents the growing national trend of support for automated traffic enforcement systems. According to Assistant Chief Chip Simmons of the Pensacola Police Department, "Red light running is a serious problem in Pensacola; we hope to illustrate through this system the need for automated enforcement to help change driver behavior and save lives. The LaserCraft system clearly shows the violations captured at the intersection and leaves little doubt that a violation has occurred."
