India's Tata Motors Sept 2005 Vehicle Sales Up

MUMBAI, Oct 3, 2005; Reuters reported that India's top bus and truck maker Tata Motors Ltd. (TAMO.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday vehicle sales rose 13 percent in September to 40,095 units from 35,406 units a year earlier. Exports more than doubled to 4,930 units from 2,301 units.

New York-listed Tata Motors said sales of commercial vehicles rose 11 percent to 19,087 units from 17,179 units, while sales of cars and utility vehicles rose 1 percent to 16,078 units.
