PHOENIX, Oct. 3 -- The Chrysler Inspired Drives tour is making a stop in Phoenix on October 8-9, 2005 at Firebird International Raceway on 20,000 S. Maricopa Road in Chandler. The exciting test drive experience that has traveled to eight cities across the country provides consumers with the opportunity to put the pedal to the metal, and experience how the full line of Chrysler vehicles tackles real-world challenges like braking and handling. Chrysler Inspired Drives also will give individuals a taste of the good life through cooking demonstrations, golf swing analysis and cigar rolling.

"The Inspired Drives Tour is not your ordinary driving event. It is more like a celebration," said Jeff Bell, Vice President - Chrysler/Jeep(R). "The tour brings the Chrysler brand to the public in an experiential way with thrilling test drive courses complemented by fine food, wine, cigars and golf. The Chrysler experience is hard to beat."

The two-day weekend event is free of charge for owners and non-owners alike. Hours for the Inspired Drives tour are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The full-line test drive course will feature the Chrysler 300, Chrysler Crossfire, Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible, Chrysler Sebring coupe, Chrysler Sebring sedan, Chrysler Sebring convertible and Chrysler Town & Country minivan with Stow 'N Go in real-world driving challenges. If braking and slick roads aren't enough to get hearts racing, the drag strip and thrill rides will feature two of the fastest Chrysler vehicles ever produced, the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 and the Chrysler 300C SRT8, on specially designed courses.

Since there's more to the good life than a great car, Chrysler also will offer a series of lifestyle activities for consumers. Visitors can explore with their taste buds at the on-site food and wine-tasting demonstrations, take a stroll to the cigar lounge to have a hand at rolling the perfect stogie, or take a swing at the golf simulator.

People of all ages are welcome to participate in the event. For those not old enough to drive, there will be kids' activities, such as face painting, coloring and novelty tattoos. And, of course, wine sampling only will be available to those not driving.

Phoenix is the final stop on the eight-city tour.

Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license to participate in the ride-and-drive activities.
