JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 30, 2005) Tony Pedregon and the Q Racing Nitro Funny
Car are on a roll.

Coming off his first victory of the 2005 season at Maple Grove Raceway in
Mohnton, Pa., two weekends ago, Pedregon laid down another ace tonight at
Route 66 Raceway, lapping the suburban Chicago quarter mile in 4.680 seconds
at 320.36 mph.

The run was a career best, tying brother Cruz Pedregon for the
second-quickest pass in NHRA Nitro Funny Car history.

³I want to thank (crew chief) Dickie Venables and the entire Q Racing team,²
Pedregon said. ³They have worked real hard this year, now were starting to
see what this team is capable of.

³This is such a great race track too,² Venables continued. ³People are in
for a treat this weekend. This is what Q Racing is all about. The motor oil
we use this weekend has given us the horsepower we need to put up numbers
like this. And we took advantage of the great weather conditions as well.²

To add to Pedregon Racingıs excitement, brother Cruz Pedregon grabbed the
provisional No. 1 slot with an identical 4.680-second elapsed time, but his
330.80 mph top speed was enough to put him on top.
