Ringers Gloves racers sit atop of the ladders in all three NHRA professional categories: Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock. Greg Anderson continues to rock, as he posted the second-quickest run in NHRA Pro Stock history and leads the quickest field in Pro Stock history with a 6.646 second/207.27 mph run. His KB Racing teammate, Jason Line, lines up behind him after posting a career best speed with a 6.663 second/208.17 mph run, which also set the track record in speed. After failing to qualify for the past two NHRA national events, Cruz Pedregon was the one to set the pace in Funny Car on Friday night. Cruz rocketed to a 4.680 second/330.80 mph run, the second-quickest run in Funny Car history and he also leads the quickest Funny Car field in NHRA history at the same time. Cruz wasn’t the only Pedregon posting a quick run. His brother and teammate Tony also posted a 4.680-second run, which puts him behind older brother Cruz, since his time wasn’t as fast. Top Fuel saw Tony Schumacher post the third quickest pass in NHRA history with a 4.437 second/331.77 mph run. If he posts a 4.481-second run, it will stand as the national record which he already holds with a 4.441. The second day of qualifying for the Ameriquest Mortgage NHRA Nationals starts Saturday with gates opening at 7 a.m. Ringers Gloves, Official Gloves of NHRA and title sponsor for the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle, is a full-line manufacturer of high-end, task specific gloves, SFI 3.3/1, 3.3/10 racing gloves, UnderX protective undergarments and rdigs pit boots.
