Modine Introduces New Bus Air Conditioning System

RACINE, Wis.--Sept. 27, 2005--Modine Manufacturing Company , a worldwide leader in applied thermal management, introduced its new bus air conditioning system to the North American market and showcased a wide range of thermal solutions for the transportation market at the APTA (American Public Transit Association) EXPO 2005 in Dallas, Texas September 26-28.

Modine is featuring its new bus cooling technology, gained through its Asian acquisition in 2004. Made in Asan City, South Korea, the 15 foot long bus air conditioner module will be the focus of the booth at APTA. It is currently used for mass transit in Asia by a number of manufacturers including Hyundai Motor Company. This is the first time it will be available to North American customers.

"Modine has been for some time a leader in the bus market, delivering powertrain cooling modules and components including radiators, oil coolers and condensers. We are now able to provide these air conditioning systems as well, supporting our customers' technical and production needs," said Scott Bowser, Modine General Sales Manager.

The APTA EXPO is held every three years to present the world's premier collection of manufacturers and suppliers of transit innovations, with more than 800 companies on display. It not only showcases products, services and technologies designed to enhance the passengers' experience, but also enables transit systems to operate efficiently and profitably.
