USAC Special Release - USAC AUCTION RAISES OVER $8,000 IN AIDING HURRICANE RELIEF

ROSSBURG, Ohio – USAC officials, drivers, car owners, team members and fans
assisted in raising over $8,000 for hurricane relief during Saturday’s
silent auction at Eldora Speedway.

Nearly 100 items – including car parts and components, jackets, hats, photos
and other memorabilia – were auctioned off, some items raising amounts in
excess of $500. All proceeds from the auction will be donated and split
between the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army.

“USAC is elated at the results from this event, but most importantly, we
want to thank all the drivers, car owners, teams and fans involved in being
so generous,” USAC President/CEO Rollie Helmling said. “We also want to
thank Eldora Speedway for being so supportive, as well as fans for their
generous contributions. It’s just wonderful to see how the racing community
can respond in such time of need.”

The event came as a prelude to the annual “4-Crown Nationals” at the famed
half-mile high-banked dirt track, which featured the USAC Weld Racing Silver
Crown Series, Valvoline National Sprint Car Series and the National Midget
Car Series.
