Enterprise Rent-A-Car Revenue Exceeds $8 Billion: Records Set in Revenues, Fleet Size, and Locations; Company adds 80,000 vehicles and opens nearly 500 new locations worldwide

ST. LOUIS--Sept. 21, 2005--Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the largest rental car company in North America, announced today a record annual performance, achieving all new highs in revenue, fleet size, and locations.

Enterprise recorded $8.23 billion in worldwide revenue, a company record, and up from $7.4 billion the previous year. In the last 25 years, the company has achieved a compound annual revenue growth rate of 20.5 percent.

In fiscal 2005 (ending July 31), Enterprise also achieved record fleet size with a combined total of more than 818,000 vehicles - an increase of some 80,000 compared to last year - in its rental and fleet services (leased) inventories. "In 2005, we continued to set company records across all of our rental segments, including replacement, corporate, leisure and airport," said Andrew C. "And we're seeing significant growth from other Enterprise divisions, such as Fleet Services (leasing) and Rent-A-Truck (commercial truck rental)."

Enterprise Rent-A-Car ranks No. 16 on the most recent Forbes magazine list of "America's Largest Private Companies," and its $8.23 billion in revenue would have placed the company at No. 266 in the most recent "Fortune 500" ranking of publicly held U.S. companies.
