PHOENIX, Sept. 8 -- U-Haul International, Inc. announced today that it is expanding its offer of 30 days of free storage nationwide to help Hurricane Katrina evacuees.

"Hurricane Katrina caused tremendous damage and hardship to the communities we serve, and displaced thousands of families," stated U-Haul Executive Vice President John "J.T." Taylor. "I hope these efforts provide assistance to families that truly need a helping hand. We will continue to help our friends and neighbors in this time of need."

U-Haul has entered its 60th year of serving the do-it-yourself moving and storage customer, with nearly 1,000 facilities across the United States and Canada.
