Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation Announces $1 Million Contribution to Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort

ST. LOUIS--Aug. 3, 20051, 2005--Enterprise Rent-A-Car has announced that it is making a donation of $1 million through its charitable foundation to the American Red Cross to help in the massive Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

"Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a part of the neighborhoods and communities affected by this disaster, and we are committed to contributing to the relief efforts now under way," said Jo Ann Taylor Kindle, president of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation. "On behalf of our company and all 61,000 of our employees, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is affected by this disaster."

Enterprise, the largest rental car company in North America, estimates that between 20 and 30 of its 70 branches in the New Orleans area and seven locations in other Gulf Coast regions were destroyed or severely damaged by the hurricane.

Started in 1982 by Enterprise Rent-A-Car founder Jack Taylor, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation was established to allow the company to give back to the communities where Enterprise customers and employees live and work.
