TOP CALIFORNIA FOCUS DRIVERS LOOK TO REGROUP THIS WEEKEND ON THE DIRT; MOON
WINS AT STOCKTON

INDIANAPOLIS – The Top 3 in USAC California Ford Focus Pavement Midget Car
Series points look to regroup this Saturday at Santa Maria, Calif. following
a tough race Saturday at the paved Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway, won by
Benny Moon.

Moon, of Shingle Springs, Calif., led the final four laps following an
incident involving the Top 3 in the points. Series leader Alex Harris blew
an engine on Lap 27, resulting in subsequent accidents by Audra Sasselli and
Chase Barber. Sasselli was glued to the back of Harris’ car and spun in the
oil, hitting the outside wall and nearly hitting the inside wall. Barber,
running third, also hit the wall. The trio finished ninth, 10th and 11th
respectively.

For Moon, who piloted the No. 3 Stealth/Ford Focus, it was his second
victory in the California Ford Focus Series this season. He beat Jace Meier,
Jeff Sakowicz, Robbie Whitchurch and Cameron Veach to the stripe. Moon, now
fifth in the standings, is within 46 points in the pavement series with four
races remaining.

Barber, Harris and Sasselli continue their season-long battle in the Dirt
Series this weekend on the 1/3-mile track at Santa Maria. Barber opened a
slim gap to 63 points over Harris two weeks ago during a streak of three
races in four nights.
