Apogee Enterprises Reaffirms Guidance for Fiscal 2006

MINNEAPOLIS--Aug. 8, 2005--Apogee Enterprises, Inc. today reaffirmed its existing fiscal year 2006 earnings guidance; the company will be participating in investor meetings on August 10. For the full year, Apogee continues to expect earnings of $0.74 to $0.80 per share on revenue growth of 9 to 11 percent. The company's second quarter ends August 27, 2005.

Apogee's longer-term goal continues to be to achieve an average of 8 percent annual revenue growth and 20 percent annual earnings per share growth over the three-year period from fiscal 2006 to 2008.
