Hyundai Motor America Names Michelle Cervantez Vice President, Marketing

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 1 -- Hyundai Motor America (HMA) President and CEO, Robert F. Cosmai, today announced that Michelle Cervantez has been named Vice President of Marketing for the company. Cervantez will be responsible for all Hyundai marketing and advertising in the United States. She will report directly to the President and CEO. Cervantez comes to Hyundai from Mercedes-Benz USA where she held a similar post. Cervantez has also served as Vice President of Marketing for Jaguar Cars North America. "We're very excited to have Michelle, an acknowledged marketing industry leader, join Hyundai. She is committed to taking Hyundai forward to an even higher level with our already strong department and excellent marketing partners," said Cosmai. "Hyundai is clearly a company with great momentum," said Cervantez. "The opportunities for Hyundai are amazing and I look forward to contributing to the company's future growth and success in the U.S. marketplace." Cervantez was selected again this year by the leading trade publication Automotive News as one of "100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry." She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Southern California. Cervantez began her automotive career with Ford Motor Company where she held a variety of positions including regional field operations, customer service and export operations as well as marketing positions with the Ford and Lincoln Mercury brands.
