Get Your License Plates at The Car Dealer

Washington DC July 25, 2005; The AIADA newsletter reported that ADP Dealer Services and Reynolds and Reynolds Co. Computerized Vehicle Registration Program was recently approved by Illinois, Automotive News reports.

By signing on to the program, Illinois becomes the 21st state to approve the technology, which allows vehicle buyers to get their license plates and registration at the dealership. This program has been instrumental in providing vehicle buyers the convenience of having their new vehicle fully registered with permanent plates and stickers on the same day of their purchase.

Computer Vehicle Registration has a goal to obtain approval in 35 of the 50 states over the next three to five years. "We’ve added six more states in just the last two years," says Randall Kobat, vice president of sales and operations for La Palma, Calif. based company.

The company is currently working with Minnesota and New York to offer the service to dealerships in 2006.
