Thor Announces Record Retail RV Sales for Month, Quarter, 6 Months; Named by Fortune as One of 'The Best Stocks To Buy Now'

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio, July 6 -- Thor Industries, Inc. announced today record unit retail RV sales in June and for the quarter and 6 months ended June 30, 2005.

Thor's June retail RV sales were up 19% to 11,029 units versus 9,274 last year. Travel trailers and fifth wheels were up 20%, Class A motorhomes were up 19% and Class C motorhomes were up 29%. May total retail RV sales were up 18%. "This indicates a late, very strong retail selling season for all of our product segments," said Wade F. B. Thompson, Thor Chairman.

Retail RV sales in the quarter ended June were 31,691, up 12% from 28,292 last year. Retail RV sales in the 6 months ended June were 47,067, up 10% from 42,781 last year. Retail unit sales of CrossRoads RV, acquired on November 1, 2004, are included in both years.

Fortune magazine (July 11, 2005) named Thor one of 40 stocks to buy now. Thor was rated as a "deep value" stock, as "Boomers are increasingly hitting the road in its Airstream and Dutchmen RVs."

Thor is the largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and the largest builder of mid-size buses.
