Visteon and IUE/CWA Reach Tentative Agreement in Connersville

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., July 1 -- Visteon Corporation and the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture Workers - Communications Workers of America (IUE/CWA) local 919 have reached a tentative labor agreement.

This tentative agreement is designed to address the competitive environment of the automotive industry and to improve the viability of Visteon's Connersville operations. Details of the agreement will not be disclosed until members of the IUE/CWA 919 have the opportunity to ratify the agreement. The ratification vote is slated for Thursday, July 21.

Negotiations between Visteon and the IUE/CWA began on May 17 with an agreement being reached today.

The IUE/CWA local 919 represents a local work force of 1,380 hourly men and women.
