Eddie Munster and George Barris Cruise to Volo Auto Museum

VOLO, Ill., June 27 -- Butch "Eddie Munster" Patrick and George Barris, creator of the Munster Koach and Drag-U-La coffin car, will appear this Fourth of July weekend at the Volo Auto Museum.

Patrick and Barris will host the 2nd Annual Kustom & Hotrod Show from 10 a.m to 3 p.m on July 3 at the Volo Auto Museum, 27582 W. Volo Village Road, Volo, IL. The show will feature the original Drag-U-La.

In addition to hosting the car show, Patrick and Barris will sign autographs at the museum on Saturday, July 2 and Monday, July 4.

Patrick played Eddie Munster on the television situation comedy "The Munsters" from 1964 to 1966.

In addition to "The Munsters," Barris built cars for "Batman," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Knight Rider," and other famous TV shows. He also built cars for "Back to the Future," "The Fast and the Furious," "Scooby Doo," "XxX," and other popular movies.

The car show will feature one of the largest gatherings of hotrod and custom cars in the country, dash plaques personally autographed by Barris, a beer garden, live music and more. Adult admission is $10. Special rates are available for children, seniors, veterans and active military.

Vehicle registration is $20 and limited to the first 200 hotrods and custom cars. Registrations forms are available at http://www.volocars.com/ or by calling (815) 385-3644. The price will increase to $25 on the day of the event if any spots remain.
