Two Integrated Technologies Designed to Save Children's Lives in Auto-Related Back-Up Incidents

GRAND ISLAND, Neb.--June 13, 2005--Sense Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:SNSG) -- In 2005, a record number of children's lives have been lost as a result of auto-related back-up incidents. SUVs, minivans, and like vehicles, have huge blind spots as a result of their high profiles and design. They are sold as family vehicles, yet they are among the most dangerous for families, as this year alone there have been 132 back-up accidents where 67 of those children lost their lives. Summer is the time when most back-up incidents are likely to occur, and a large number of toddlers are killed or seriously injured because the person behind the wheel, likely a parent or close relative, couldn't see the small child running up from the side or dashing behind the vehicle.

According to Bruce Schreiner, CEO of Sense Technologies, Inc. "We strongly believe that all vehicles can be made safer using affordable technology that is available now. During summer, at a time when back-up incidents are traditionally at their highest numbers, we're introducing two complementary safety devices -- ScopeOut(R) and Guardian Alert(R) -- that can easily be fitted to any vehicle. Using these two products, separately or together, drivers will have a comprehensive warning system to detect small children, behind or too near the rear of any vehicle."

Guardian Alert(R) is a Doppler radar system, and was specifically designed to detect small children or pets directly behind a vehicle. The product can be installed with no visible changes to the exterior of the vehicle, fitting into either the bumper or a trailer hitch receiver. Guardian Alert(R)'s radar patrols the entire width of the vehicle, all the way to the ground, and behind the vehicle approximately 9 feet. Vertically, the coverage area begins at ground level and rises five feet. Schreiner says, "There are other systems available for vehicles, including sonar, infrared and non-Doppler radar; however, we believe the public is being misled about the safety efficacy if the system does not warn about objects all the way to the ground -- the riskiest area where a small child or pet might be hidden from view."

In tests against other warning technologies, including optical, infrared, and ultrasonic, Guardian Alert(R)'s Doppler microwave radar sensing offered drivers the most overall reliable means for avoiding potential rear collision hazards. There were fewer incidences of "nuisance" notifications, and Guardian Alert(R)'s "awareness zone" was the most comprehensive on the market. Schreiner continues, "Parking aids are not created for the purpose of protecting human life. Consumers need to be adequately educated about the differences prior to purchase, especially since salespersons are often not aware of coverage differences, and consumers are not able to compare the technologies side by side."

ScopeOut(R), which will be released late summer 2005, is a patented system of aerodynamic mirrors that are strategically placed on the vehicle. With ScopeOut(R), car, minivan and SUV owners will be able to see children, traffic, or even pets, approaching a vehicle from down the street or sidewalk. Shrubbery, high-profile cars, walls and buildings can all block a driver's view as he or she is backing out of a driveway or parking space. With ScopeOut(R), drivers can see approaching traffic and other hazardous situations, enabling them to stop well in advance of a collision. This simple safety device easily installs on vehicles within minutes, and it provides a panoramic rear view of approaching vehicles or children down the street or sidewalk. In moving traffic, ScopeOut(R) also has the ability to protect drivers from blind spots in lane changes, which are the cause of thousands of deadly accidents each year.

Two models of ScopeOut(R) will be available, one for cars and one designed to fit most SUVs, minivans, station wagons or hatchbacks. Either model fits a wide variety of vehicles, can be installed with no special equipment within minutes, and can be removed at any time without altering or damaging the vehicle. Once installed, ScopeOut(R) is built to last for years, and is impervious to wind noise, wind vibrations, car wash damage or to extreme weather conditions.

According to Schreiner, "We recently had an incident involving a child in a busy parking lot. As the toddler pulled away from his parent and went running free, a driver flanked by high-profile vehicles on both sides was backing out of his parking space. Standard rear and side view mirrors alone would not have been effective in helping the driver to see the small child approaching the rear of the vehicle. In this case, however, the driver happened to be equipped with ScopeOut(R), and he could easily see the toddler running toward his car. He was able to stop in time, averting a life-changing disaster. We fervently believe ScopeOut(R) saved that child's life."

Sense Technologies will be launching a national safety campaign called, "Stop Backing Out Blind" to warn parents about the dangers of driver blindspots. The company will be producing ads, videos and news releases to get their safety message out to families during a time when the tragic loss of children's lives due to back-over incidents is reaching an all-time high.

For a limited time, customers may take advantage of a Surround Safety(R) special promotion. Parents who place advance orders for ScopeOut(R) (SRP $89.95 - $99.95) at the same time they order Guardian Alert(R) (SRP $299.95), will receive a $49.95 instant rebate off the cost of ScopeOut(R), and won't be charged until the product ships in early September. "We think this is an excellent gift idea for young parents," says Schreiner. Guardian Alert(R) is also available online at Sears Auto, www.sears.com/autosafety, or by calling Sense Technologies at 1-866-617-2327 for a list of retailers near you. Both Guardian Alert(R) and ScopeOut(R) are available direct from Sense Technologies at www.sensetech.com. Items may be purchased separately or together. Special Surround Safety(R) offer for Guardian Alert(R) and ScopeOut(R) is available only from www.sensetech.com and orders must be placed by August 31, 2005.
