Chrysler Inspired Drives Puts the Pedal to the Metal for Nationwide Tour

* Chrysler brand embarks on eight-city tour * Three exhilarating driving courses put consumers in the driver's seat * Golf swing analysis, cigar lounge and food tasting demonstrations offer individuals a taste of the finer things in life

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 24 -- The Chrysler Inspired Drives tour hits the road this summer, taking its exciting test drive experience to eight cities across the country. Each tour stop will provide consumers with the opportunity to put the pedal to the metal, and experience how the full line of Chrysler vehicles tackle real-world challenges like braking and handling. Chrysler Inspired Drives will also give individuals a taste of the good life through cooking demonstrations, golf swing analysis and cigar rolling.

"The Inspired Drives Tour is not your ordinary driving event. It is more like a celebration," said Jeff Bell, Vice President - Chrysler/Jeep(R). "The tour brings the Chrysler brand to the public in an experiential way with thrilling test drive courses complemented by fine food, wine, cigars and golf. The Chrysler experience is hard to beat."

The national tour begins in Albany, N.Y., on June 4. Each two-day weekend (Saturday and Sunday) event is free of charge for owners and non-owners alike.

The full line test-drive course will feature the Chrysler 300, Chrysler Crossfire, Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible, Chrysler Sebring coupe, Chrysler Sebring sedan, Chrysler Sebring convertible and Chrysler Town & Country minivan with Stow 'n Go in real-world driving challenges. If braking and slick roads aren't enough to get hearts racing, the drag strip and thrill rides will feature two of the fastest Chrysler vehicles ever produced, the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 and the Chrysler 300C SRT8, on specially designed courses.

Since there's more to the good life than a great car, Chrysler will also offer a series of lifestyle activities for consumers. Visitors can explore with their taste buds at the on-site food and wine tasting demonstrations, take a stroll to the cigar lounge to have a hand at rolling the perfect stogie, or take a swing at the golf simulator.

People of all ages are welcome to participate in the event. For those not old enough to drive, there will be kids' activities such as face painting, coloring and novelty tattoos. And, of course, wine sampling will only be available to those not driving.

The Inspired Drives Tour will make stops in the following cities:
  Albany, N.Y. June 4-5
  Washington, D.C. June 18-19
  Kansas City, Mo. July 30-31
  St. Louis, Mo. August 6-7

Chrysler Inspired Drives provides Chrysler aficionados and interested visitors with only a sampling of what they can experience at the Chrysler Block Party in July. This year, the Chrysler Group will host its annual block party in Cleveland at the 9th Street Pier. Beginning July 9, Chrysler owners, family and friends will gather in Cleveland to celebrate their passion for Chrysler products. In addition to the thrill rides, lifestyle demonstrations and live concerts from emerging artists, a ticket to the party will include admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Great Lakes Science Center.
