April 2, 2005 -- Shanghai Rickshaw LLC is a manufacturer and operator of Authentic Hand-pulled Rickshaws. Created in China, in the traditional style, powerfully built and upscale in design. Start up date for sales and operations are expected by June 1st. 2005.
Authentic 19th Century style Rickshaws have never been in the USA before, except for a few flimsy versions. We expect a positive reaction from both our tour rides and projected sales all across the United States. They are to be imported from China to New York City, where we will conduct sales and provide novelty tour rides.
We had heard that some years back Rickshaws were brought in to Chinatown in New York City and received a negative response by residents there. We had never seen the Rickshaws that were brought in. However, our modern day version of the traditional style Rickshaws are built to be strong and yet beautiful. These vehicles are made of the finest modern day materials and will impress the most discerning individuals. Made in China, designed and built by Chinese.SRLLC is partnered by an American, with a Chinese partner. These Rickshaws will in no way suggest a subserviant form of ancient Chinese culture but actually a modern day novelty ride for tourists.
Shanghai Rickshaw LLC has ties to the Hansom Cab industry as well as the Pedicab (Pedal-Rickshaw)industry with a combined partners experience of 30 years in the tourism/transport industry. Also, we expect these Rickshaws to be yet another viable form for advertising and promotion. Restaurants, Window displays, Stage, Film, Openings, and any asian influenced project.
