American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today that it has begun limited retail sales in California of its natural gas-powered Civic GX sedan paired with a revolutionary new home-refueling appliance called Phill giving California consumers the opportunity to say "goodbye" to gasoline.

The Civic GX boasts the cleanest internal combustion engine ever tested by the U.S. EPA and the lowest EPA-estimated annual fuel cost of any new sedan, including hybrids. The Phill appliance, manufactured and marketed by FuelMaker Corporation, is an affordable home refueling appliance that allows drivers the convenience of re-fueling their vehicles in their own homes using their existing natural gas supply. Through a partnership with FuelMaker, the Phill appliance will be available for lease and installation through 17 authorized Honda Civic GX dealers in California.

Customers who drive natural gas powered cars are offered government incentives like single passenger access to HOV lanes and tax deductions.
