School Bus Racing Returns to SSP on Thursday
Great American School Bus Racing Returns to SSP on Thursday NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (April 18, 2005) – This Thursday night, April 21, the Great American School Bus Races return to the Susquehanna Speedway Park for the first time this season. Also featured will be the Sprint Cars and the Xtreme Stock Cars. Jason Johnson and Jerry Blauch picked up feature wins last Thursday in the Sprint Cars and Xtreme Stock Cars classes respectively. Gates open in the pit area and grandstands at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 7:00 p.m. with racing beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand ticket prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children (6-12) $4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $20.00 with a reduced price of $18.00 for all track license holders. The raindate will be Sunday, April 24 with the same time schedule. SSP will continue its Repeat Fan Discount in which there will be a $2.00 discount for each person with a ticket stub from the April 14 event only. For example, $2.00 off an Adult ticket for April 21 with and Adult ticket stub from the April 14 event. Returning fans are encouraged to write their name, address and phone number on the back of the stub to be entered into special drawings to be held during the season for great prizes. Last season, the grand prize was two tickets to the NASCAR race in October at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
