BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt Appoints Jürgen Chrobog Chair

Munich 04/15/2005; The Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt has appointed Jürgen Chrobog (65) to be the Chairman of the Board of Management of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. Jürgen Chrobog, who is State Secretary of the Foreign Office, will take up the position at the beginning of July 2005.

The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt was founded in 1970 by BMW AG as the Herbert Quandt Foundation in recognition of everything that Herbert Quandt had done for BMW. The Foundation's chosen task is to maintain a dialogue between business, politics and society at national and international level.

The Foundation's objectives include the promotion of international political and economic cooperation and the encouragement of young managers from the worlds of business, politics, science and the media.
