Action-Packed Grand Prix of Long Beach WeekendSAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--April 5, 2005--This weekend, an estimated 200,000 motor sport fans will gather in south Los Angeles County for the 31st Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. This year's event features Indy-type Champ cars roaring around 1.97 miles of Long Beach city streets driven by internationally famed drivers racing at high speeds past 19 huge spectator grandstands into 11 hairpin corners - and letting it out on the long straightaways.
And to make sure not one thing is missed - anywhere on the circuit - worldwide NBC-TV coverage will also be shown on eight giant-vision screens placed at strategic points around the track.
Former Indy racing legend Dick Simon, now vice president of Patriot, adds, "Having driven in the Grand Prix of Long Beach three consecutive years, I know first-hand that of all the races on the circuit, only two were true driver favorites: The Indy 500 and Long Beach. Being here this year brings it all together for me personally. Seeing Patriot Motorcycles play a vital role in all the excitement is a real thrill. You don't want to miss this weekend."
