Valeo Bio Clip(TM) Provides the Best In-Cabin Air Quality

PARIS, March 23 -- Valeo today announces the launch of a revolutionary cartridge called Bio Clip(TM). This anti-bacteria diffuser for cabin air filters offers an effective response to a major concern of all motorists, providing clean and odor-free air in the passenger compartment.

Valeo is a leading manufacturer of HVAC and climate control systems with extensive experience in technologies to improve cabin air quality. The Group has now designed an innovative, world first system - Bio Clip(TM) - which significantly enhances the comfort and well-being of all vehicle occupants. Bio Clip(TM) offers valuable protection from external pollutants and also purifies cabin air to eliminate odors. Designed to benefit both OE and Aftermarket customers, Bio Clip(TM) will be available from May 2005.

Quality air available to all

The Bio Clip(TM) system is simple to install since it just clips onto the cabin air filter, allowing it to be used on all types of vehicles. It offers a guaranteed minimum working life of 12 months, similar to the air filter itself.

Long-lasting protection

Bio Clip(TM) uses a natural anti-microbial agent (a plant molecule) that is continuously diffused into the cabin to destroy the microorganisms that spread through the ventilation system.

Odor-free air

Unpleasant odors produced by the activation of air conditioning systems are a major source of complaints from motorists. Air conditioning evaporators can trap unpleasant gases and release them suddenly into the cabin when the air conditioning is switched on. With Bio Clip(TM), the bacteria and microbes that cause the offensive smells are destroyed.

A breath of fresh air in the cabin

Pollution, in the form of gas and dust, together with unpleasant smells, can also come from the cabin itself. In air conditioning recirculation mode, Bio Clip(TM) provides an additional air purification action that delivers clean and safe air back into the cabin.
