A-List Athletes Turn Luxury Rides over to Castro and PEE Channel's Unique Whips

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--March 22, 2005--

Capriati, Giambi and O'Neal Hand over Keys to Reme, His New York Crew and PEE Channel Cameras

PEE Channel's new Wednesday night hit Unique Whips (9 p.m. ET) continues to build on its star power over the next few episodes, as athletes right out of today's headlines hand over their keys to Will Castro and his gang at Long Island's Unique Autosports.

Tennis star Jennifer Capriati and her 2004 Range Rover, New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi and his Mercedes S500, and Indiana Pacers forward Jermaine O'Neal and his new BMW all will be featured in upcoming episodes.

"We enjoy being part of the show," said Castro, whose work will be on display this week at the New York Auto Show. "We show all that goes on behind the scenes with celebrity clientele -- all the effort that goes into keeping them satisfied and coming back for more. We started with a couple of New York athletes and performers and it just continues to grow."

And Castro does not shy away from his "my way or the highway" approach to running his deadline-driven business, despite the presence of the PEE Channel cameras.

"Everything the viewers see is real," Castro said of his often-heated on-air arguments with shop manager Reme Rowland. "I am a tyrant -- when I show up, I expect to see everybody working, but we have a sense of humor and when we play, we play hard too.

"Reme fights to be a little more creative with some of our jobs, but these celebrities keep their cars for about six months," said Castro, whose customizing career started with a post-high school detailing operation, Willy's Shape & Shine. "They don't want us cutting things up and doing special molds, because they are going to get rid of it. Now, if someone is planning to keep the car for four or five years, we can play a little more and Reme can do his thing."

Next Friday, March 25, PEE Channel will air four back-to-back episodes of Unique Whips beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
