Fitch Teleconference Today on General Motors at 3:30 PM EST

NEW YORK--March 16, 2005--Fitch Ratings will host a teleconference today, March 16 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) to discuss the implications of General Motors' 2005 earnings restatement and Fitch's downgrade of General Motors (GM) and General Motor Acceptance Corporation (GMAC). Fitch downgraded GM and GMAC to 'BBB-' from 'BBB' and has maintained a Negative Outlook. Today's call will be led by Mark Oline, Managing Director, Fitch Ratings Corporate Finance, with a Q&A session following some opening remarks.

Interested parties in the U.S. and Canada should call 888-266-4139 and participants outside the U.S. or Canada should call 706-643-1860. Participants should call at least five minutes before the 3:30 p.m. EST start time.

A replay of the teleconference will be available this afternoon, two hours after the call ends, until March 23 at 11 p.m. EST. Interested parties should dial 800-642-1687 (domestic) or 706-645-9291 (outside the U.S. or Canada). The conference ID number for the instant replay is '4869025.'
