Mitsubishi Motors Launches Lancer Evolution IX High-performance 4WD Sports Sedan

Tokyo (JCNN) - Mitsubishi Motors introduced nationwide the new Lancer Evolution IX high-performance 4WD sports sedan on March 3. Featuring a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine incorporating the MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control System) with an intercooler turbocharger, the twelfth model in the series features three types: flagship GSR, motor-sport specification RS, and new GT.

The newly developed front and rear bumpers deliver high aerodynamics as well as cooling performance.

Mitsubishi is aiming for sales of 5,000 units. Retail price ranges from 2,940,000 to 3,570,000 yen ($28,000-34,000).
