TORRANCE, Calif., March 4 -- Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., announced manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) today for the 2006 Camry Solara Coupe and Convertible. The 2006 Coupe and Convertible will begin arriving at Toyota dealerships next week.

For 2006, value is enhanced with additional standard equipment and performance upgrades. All SE and SE sport grades will now receive a power driver's seat lumbar support as standard equipment. Also, all four-cylinder models with automatic transmission have been upgraded from a four-speed automatic to a five-speed sequential automatic ECT-i, which uses electronic controls to ensure ultra-smooth shift quality. The driver controls the five-speed sequential automatic with a gated shifter, which allows manual shifting for a sporty driving experience.

With the additional standard equipment and performance upgrade, prices for the 2006 Solara increase only $60 on all models, reflecting its great value. The MSRP for the Solara SE starts at $19,380, an increase of 0.3 percent. The SE sport coupe is positioned at $20,875, up 0.3 percent. The premium SLE will carry a base MSRP of $23,255, reflecting an increase of 0.3 percent.

The base MSRP for the Solara Convertible SE will be $26,540, up 0.2 percent. The Solara convertible SLE will start at $29,810, up 0.2 percent.
