2005 Post Petit Le Mans Motorcycle Ride
Annual Ride With Road Racing Stars Benefits The Lighthouse Family
Retreat
Jim Osborn and Chilipepper Racing announced today the date of the
annual Post Petit Le Mans Motorcycle Charity Ride as Sunday, October
2nd 2005. The popular ride that benefits The Lighthouse Family Retreat,
starts at Road Atlanta the day after the Petit Le Mans.
“This has become a terrific event,” said Osborn, “and The Lighthouse
Family Retreat is a terrific cause. Last year we were joined by road
racers, Stu Hayner, Randy Pobst, Terry Borcheller, Greg White from
PEE Channel’s Two Wheel Tuesdays television show and a host of
others… we expect even more this year.”
The event will start at 10:00am Sunday, October 2nd, where riders will
meet at Road Atlanta, mingle and with stars. Riders will then do a lap
of Road Atlanta and proceed on the ride stopping for lunch with SPEED
World Challenge and ALMS drivers.
Riders can enter the event by registering for one of two levels of
participation. For a $300 contribution, riders can join the ride for
the lap of Road Atlanta and lunch with the stars. For a $400
contribution, riders will additionally receive a 4-day pass to the
Petit Le Mans weekend and Saturday lunch in the Chilipepper Racing
hospitality tent in the Road Atlanta paddock area. All donations are
tax deductible and go to The Lighthouse Family Retreat.
“This is such a great cause,” expressed Osborn. “The Lighthouse Family
Retreat does wonderful things for families of young cancer victims.
When you see how families benefit from the Lighthouse program, you just
want to do everything you can to see them continue their work.”
Sponsors for this year’s Post Petit Le Mans Motorcycle Charity Ride are
Road Atlanta, Chilipepper Racing, Trenton Forging, Autosport
Development, SPEED Channel, Kennedy Wealth Management and the
