Chrysler PT Cruiser is 'What Women Want'

* Safety, Durability, Value and Performance Earn Chrysler PT Cruiser Premium Compact Car Honor * Chrysler PT Cruiser Only Domestic Vehicle to Win its Segment * More than 40,000 Female New Vehicle Owners Surveyed by Good Housekeeping, J.D. Power and Associates

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 31 -- The Chrysler PT Cruiser is the best premium compact car on the road, according to a survey of women by the Good Housekeeping Institute in partnership with J.D. Power and Associates.

Good Housekeeping and J.D. Power and Associates surveyed more than 40,000 female new vehicle owners and asked them to rank their satisfaction with their purchase. Safety was the single most important contributor to overall vehicle satisfaction. Other deciding factors included the vehicle's durability, interior and exterior construction, and quietness. The Chrysler PT Cruiser was the only domestic make to win its segment.

"Companies that pay close attention to women's needs, especially in the areas of safety, value, quality, and performance, will be the long-term winners," said John Kupsch, Technical Director--Good Housekeeping Institute.

"We are thrilled to have earned the Good Housekeeping Institute's Women's Automotive Satisfaction Award," said Jeff Bell, Vice President--Chrysler. "With its compact car price, the Chrysler PT Cruiser is an incredible value for savvy shoppers looking for safety, quality, versatility, power and style."

Available at a starting U.S. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $13,995, including destination, Chrysler PT Cruiser is available in four models for 2005: PT Cruiser, PT Cruiser Touring, PT Cruiser Limited and PT Cruiser GT.
