Here is something you don't see everyday!! It is a radio from a 1948 Tucker Automobile! Only 51 cars were ever made. Most of the 47 remaining are in museums. Here is a chance to own a piece of automotive history. The radio is complete with brackets and cables. The brackets and cables are NOT pictured.

This is a rare and unique piece. Do not let it pass you by, you will NEVER see one of these again.

Notice the tuning unit that mounted in the dashboard, has a "red" pointer that is supposed to be at an angle!

To answer the question that keeps getting asked, "How do I know it actually came from one of the wrecked cars"? Below are a few pictures of the dashboard bracket that was cut from under the dashboard of the car. The radio receiving unit was mounted under the dashboard and held in place with this mounting bracket. Yes, the brackets and bolts also come with the radio. All of these parts came from one of the ORIGINAL wrecked cars! There is also a set of control cables that also come with the unit. Yes, you have a chance to own a piece of automotive history!

Here is a picture of the cables. They hook up to the "control unit" which is mounted in the dashboard and the other end hooks to the "control box".

Many have asked, "does it work"?? I do not know, I never hooked it up. I was actually going to rebuild the unit but never found the time. I did buy some brand new tubes for the Tucker Radio, which I will include with this auction. The unit is really a simple design and should be no problem repairing if in fact it does not work. As pictured, the schematic is included and that certainly will make life a lot easier.
